The point of no return......
I'm *this* close to finishing the cross stitching on Alhambra - I'm hoping it's going to be sometime later this week that I finish, and can move on to the specialty stitches. The areas that I have left are more confetti than some of the other parts, and so it might take a bit more time than I think it will. I'm off on a business trip next week, so I'm hoping to take a small project with me, and it will likely be either the PIF I'm supposed to be working on or an ornament. I can't remember if I'm allowed scissors or a needle not on the airplane anymore, but I guess I'll have to check before next week.
I showed no self-restraint this week, and ordered supplies and fabric for both Egyptian Garden and St. Petersburg, both by Chatelaine. I suspect that St. Petersburg will replace the Mirabillia that I included in my goals this year, but we'll see.....
Thanks for the comments on the ring - I'm still in my beginner jewellery class at the art college, and we learned how to create a band ring and set a stone on to it last semester. I hadn't quite finished this ring at the end of the last semester, and I finally finished it a week or so ago.

Oh Karin! I cannot wait - you know how much I loved watching this one grow :-)
You're so close to finishing this section and it looks spectacular! The colours are just amazing and I'm sure working with the silks is a joy. Its so hard to resist Chatelaine's new designs, she keeps coming out with so many amazing ones.
Wow you're whipping right along. Yes you can take a needle on the plane. I take nail clippers for my threads. You're allowed to take that on the plane as long as it doesn't have a file ... I think. Anyhow I don't care if that gets taken away. I also take me dental floss as a back up... you can also use the cutter on that. LOL
Alhambra is looking really gorgeous! I have all the stuff for Egyptian and St. Petersburg too - I just can't seem to get to them!!
