New Jewellery

I've been so busy in the last couple of weeks that I forgot I was supposed to hand something in this week for my jewellery class. And so I spent most of the weekend working on a necklace - the beads are all actually a matte dark purple, and not the black that most of them look like in the picture. I made the rings, soldered the whole thing together and then created the clasp. I'm not sure I'll ever do another necklace again, but making the rings and clasp is something that I'm glad I have in my list of skills.

Karin - that is so very lovely. Any woman would be proud to drape that around her neck. Congrats on a beautiful job. Love the color of the beads!

Very pretty. And very wearable, it would go with a lot of differnt looks I think.

I'm jealous of your skill!

Oh my gosh... the necklace is GORGEOUS!!! You have a great eye when it comes to putting things together!

I thought I'd answer the question you left on my blog in a comment over here so you'd see it. I'm using Paint Shop Pro to create my digital layouts (with digital papers and elements that I've downloaded). Then, when the pages are all complete, I will upload them to Shutterfly for printing.

My first album was created entirely in Shutterfly, but I wanted more control and the ability to add "extras".

Cool necklace... and it looks practical, too. I think it could be worn with jeans or a dress :)
